Ujung Kulon National Park - Western Tip of Java Island

Hello again!

This time I want to share one of my newest trip recently to explore natural beauty of Indonesia. . Also, one of the famous places in Indonesia: Ujung Kulon National Park!

First, We gathering in one of Plaza at Jakarta (Plaza Semanggi) - 20.00 PM on 25 October 2012.
We took a bus that we already booked from Jakarta - Sumur for about 8 - 9 hours.

After having some rest at Sumur, we use boat to explore small islands around there (Badul, Peucang, Cibom). It tooks about 2-3 hours to arrive in first Island.

Honestly, rather than explore the islands, we are snorkeling and playing around in there :D

There are many coral reefs and jellyfish in most of islands . . 

Then we built a tent and camp near seashore at Cibom Island, to bad that I didn't take a pict in there :(Next morning, we go to the Panaitan, lagoon wayo for trekking and surfing :D

To bad, the weather is not to good. . but we still move on!!

Then we have a camp again at night.  .

Lucky that my friend want to take a pict of me, using my camera at the last day. So I have this stunning pict!

Pancious Pancake House - Jakarta

Think pancakes and it's gotta be Pancious

I order what I think is unique and delicious!

Fruity Pancake: it is consist of several small pancakes and fruits, we should put chocolate sauce to eat this because the taste is almost plain :)

Then, here is the second dishes: Waffle Burgers! the big differences between this and other burgers is their texture. Because waffle is crunchy outside and smooth inside :D

Next, special dishes that only appear in their special events:
Nutty pistachio are consist of pistachio sauce which is not to sweet and slice of almonds.
Orange sauzette is one of my favourite dish in this restaurant, consist layers of crepes and orange sauce!

Last but not least, Pancake Custard and Pancake Caramel! Pancake Custard is also one of the newest creation in this restaurants and the taste is great, custard feeling is not to sweet and I like it.
Sometimes when you eat something sweet to much, you will feel full of yourself and the feeling is really bad :(

Don't forget you can ask for combination between pancake and waffle in one dish + you can change the ice cream with additional fees :D

Expedition to Mt. Semeru - East Java

In the end of 2011, we group of 12 people have decide to climb Mt.Semeru (Great Mountain) to celebrate New Year.

We start our journey on 29th December from Train Station Senen - Jakarta to Malang Train Station with Matarmaja (Economic Class) in about Rp.50.000,- / $5 US.

It took us about 18hours in Train with no-air conditioner . .The only problem in here is, I can't sit for a long time period. Every-time the train is stop in another stations, I decide to walk around in that places.



For you who are not Indonesian, you should know that there are many people try to sell things in this economic train, such as: Bottle of water, cakes, clothes, egg etc haha

To make it short, we arrived in Malang at 30 December - 08.00 AM. We reserved a jeep and go to the registration post office in that city for get permission to enter mt.Semeru.


After finished our registration etc, we went to Ranu Pane Village and there is stunning landscape in this trip to village.


We officially start our journey to the top of mt.Semeru ( 30 December - 01.00 PM) from Ranu Pane Village. There are 4 checkpoints from Ranu Pani Village to Ranu Kumbolo lake, as I remember: distance for every checkpoint is take about 40 - 1 hours by walk.


Usually people take about 5-6 hours to arrived. Since we never climb this mountain, we didn't know that it will take a long time to arrive in Lake of Ranu Kumbolo. The result is we get trouble to find the correct direction and we arrived in Ranu Kumbolo after 6-7 hours, arround: 7.30 PM -_-"

But, I can take this beautiful photo that shows Ranu Kumbolo at night :D

We built our tent as soon as we arrived in there and take a dep rest!

Since I never knew what Ranu Kumbolo Lake looks like and I can't see it clearly at night, I get shocked in the morning. I never imagine that I can see that kind of view when I wake up!
Best morning view that I ever had when I wake up!


31 December 2012, I really want to stop my journey in this place and admire the scenery, but my friends said that we will see the most spectacular view in Indonesia in no time. Honestly, I doubt with it because what can beat Ranu Kumbolo View???! haha

I continue to walk with half-hearted >.<"


We passed the Oro-Oro Ombo which is Savanna in that mountain.

We decide to take a rest at Kalimati, we plan to start climbing from Kalimati to the top at 11.30 PM.

So, here we are!

It is really hard to climb at 1km before top of mountain because the angle is really high, full of sands and rocks. After 6hours non-stop walking, I feel like to give-up and back to the Ranu Kumbolo Lake.

I turn around to go back and I'm shocked with the view!!


I remember at that time I said to myself that it will take few-steps left to reach the top and it will take forever to regret if I didn't do it. This is the place where I can try my pretension until the maximum limit.
I took some photos in there and take few minutes rest. .


Finally, we arrived in the top of mt.semeru (12,060 ft) or people called it "Land of Gods".



Additional information: In 1969, Soe Hok Gie an Indonesian political activist died because of poisonous gases in top of mt.semeru.

Jakarta - Brisbane for Graduation Ceremony

Hello again!

I'm back to Indonesia in about a week ago, I can't post anything in blog due to busy schedule.
*honestly, I'm a lazy person >.<"

So, Here is the short story about my trip to Brisbane for Graduation Ceremony.

I have flight with Singapore Airlines from Jakarta - Singapore (11 December 2012, 21.00PM) if I'm correct.

Since I traveled in around Christmas day, the Singapore Airlines adding Christmas decoration in their flight :D

I also order Seafood meal with apple apple and banana crumble as dessert for flight from JKT - SG.

On the other hand, I just ordered fruit platter for flight SG - BNE because it is over midnight already and I can't eat much. I prefer sleep! haha

Finally I arrived in Brisbane at around 11.00 AM of 12th December.

To make it short, I participate in my graduation ceremony on 14th December ;p

Of course I eat a lootttttt of foods in there and I will post it in no time. .  just wait and see :D
