Sam & Jolly - Jakarta

Sour Sally is a well known cafe with their yogurt, especially in Indonesia and Singapore. Now, they open a new restaurant that called "Sam & Jolly"

Sam & Jolly is a unique restaurant that use yogurt as their trademark in foods. .

This time, I have a chance to taste from their branch in Central Park Mall - Jakarta

I order main course platter to taste most of their dishes in a small portions

Unfortunately ,  I don't think that their food platter is really that good. All of the dishes in the plate has a similar taste. It is because , they pour the sauce all over the plate !!! (see pict above). More over, I personally think that their tofu that mixed with shred chicken and wrapped in noodle is bland @_@
Their presentation also not as good as their picture in menu list.

After that, I moved to the desserts that they recommended which is Lava Mountain with adFUNture.
The ice cream suppose to be a vanilla, however they said the vanilla already sold out (as I know, the store itself is open from 11AM and I arrived at 12PM. How come the Vanilla sold out while no customer in this restaurants?).
Ok, back to the desserts! They replace Vanilla with Raspberry ice cream yogurts (See pict below).  Shortly I like the ice cream, garnish and of course their choco lava melt perfectly while I cut it off :D

Next dessert that I personally choose because their looks in menu : Green Tea Lova!

I love everything that made from or has a green tea scenes! This dessert use Green Tea Yogurt Ice Cream and tiramisu with butter cookies on top. They also use passion fruit sauce, strawberry and nuts to make presentation looks really good. .

Overall, I recommended most of their desserts! Not only looks good but also taste really good!
However since the portion is big enough, I'm full only eating their desserts hahaha

Stalacities (Greek Cuisine)

When I was in Melbourne, I found Stalacities in CBD with their long queque.
I'm wondering what makes this restaurants has a long queque, so I decide to join and wait for the table :D

After waiting for about 15minutes in queque and chat with some customers, they said it is one of the famous restaurants in Melbourne CBD! Well, I consider my self as a lucky person because I found this restaurants accidentaly haha

Shortly, I get hint from several people in there about what should I order!

Firstly,

I choose Mixed Girro Platter which consists of marinated spring lamb and chicken from the spit.

Finished the main course in no time and I move to my favourite parts in eating = desserts!!! I always choose platter desserts if the restaurants provide it because I can taste several desserts at once with small portion.

The desserts that I ordered are baklava, galaktoboureko and creme caramel. served with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream! Yum . . .

Galaktoboureko is really tasty and smooth. . I like the custard texture in this dessert !
Baklava is also really good with layers full of walnut and honey. . The only problem that all of this desserts suppose to eat by 3-4 people and I eat by myself! So, I had more than enough sweet taste at that day >.<

Macaroni Cheese (Quick and Easy)

There are many variations to cook Macaroni Cheese. In this case, I use what is available in my kitchen. . .

Ingredients
  • 350g of Macaroni
  • 1tbsp Margarine / butter
  • Oregano
  • Cheese (I use cheddar kraft quick melt)
  • Slices of Chili
  • Onion & Garlic
  • Salt & Papper

Method:

1. Heat Margarine in the pan, add onion and garlic. Cook until almost brown, pour slices of chili and oregano.
2. Add Cooked Macaroni and Cheese. Stir until the cheese melt and combine perfectly with macaroni.
3. Places the Macaroni in bowl and add another cheese and oregano to make it perfect!
4. Put it in oven for about 10minutes at 180C (I use heat from top in my oven, so it will crispy on the surfaces).

Tips: You can put some cheddar kraft (normal) to make cheese on the surfaces become more crispy or slices of ham if you like it.
